Plots: 2D Maps for the rockets' NED and GPS positions
Overview
A possible future improvement on the visualization of the NAS, could be to the implementation of 2D plots with a geographic map.
Use Case / Motivation
This feature could made the NAS estimation and values easily shown within the map. Moreover, for the post-flight could ease the recovery operations of the rocket.
Proposed Solution
A possible solution could be to implement a plot with image background with Roccaraso, EUROC and Bovisa maps available offline by SEGS.
Moreover, function to convert the degree to meter positions or the other way round should be considered since due to the NAS-GPS different representations.
Alternatives Considered
Other alternatives could use online data visualization from maps or other services with the issue of online connection required and to download certain chunk of image.
